The Sonoran Desert Center for Spiritual Living (SDCSL) is a warm, inclusive, Science of Mind spiritual community nestled between the Santa Rita Mountains and the open desert sky. We serve a diverse population of seekers, retirees, longtime New Thought students, and spiritual explorers from Amado, Green Valley, Sahuarita, Tubac, and the greater Tucson area.
We’re entering a new chapter — and we are now inviting applications for a full-time Senior Minister.
If you feel called to lead, teach, inspire, and uplift a loving, heart-centered community in Southern Arizona, welcome home.
SDCSL is a spiritually rich, intergenerational New Thought center rooted in the teachings of Ernest Holmes, affirmative prayer, and the belief that every individual is a powerful expression of the Divine.
Our members come from many paths — CSL, Unity, metaphysics, interfaith backgrounds, and “spiritual-but-not-religious” seekers who want a grounded, uplifting home.

Our center is located in Amado, a peaceful rural town 20 minutes south of Green Valley and 40 minutes south of Tucson. Ministers and congregants often choose to live in:

A small group began meeting in 2002, slowly building a spiritual community through faith, tithing, determination, and vision. They purchased land, built a sanctuary, reduced a $300,000 mortgage to $72,000, and created a thriving campus.
Their joyful and themed pledge campaigns (Wicked Meets Oz, Broadway Musicals, Forest Grump) reflect their sense of community and celebration.
